I got mine through Butler County. Painless. I should have applied before I got my gun. My gun got lonely waiting for LTCF to come through.

read your post on PAFOA, and well done. But an FYI, it is LTCF (License To Carry Firearms) in PA, not CCW. Not trying to be an acronym nanny, but it's best to start as you mean to go on... with the right information. The reasons this designation is important is that: 1) a PA LTCF is not a grant from the state to carry anything EXCEPT firearms, defined in PA law relevant to licensing as handguns/SBSes/SBRs, when concealed on or about the person, or when carried in a vehicle. The LTCF does not cover over arms (including long guns, which have no parallel legislation against their concealment) as some "Concealed Weapons Permits" might cover. 2) the LTCF does not require the licensee to conceal his/her firearm, i.e. open carry is still available, where lawful, without a license, or even if one is licensed. In some states this is so; their permit/law requires concealment.

I'm really late to this, but YES I and my husband are CCW holders for PA.
