Hi Everyone! My name is Christa Brashier As you probably already know I'm the campus leader for Community College of Allegheny County's Allegheny Campus Students for Concealed Carry on Campus or SCCC I'm in the CCAC/IUP Collaborative Teacher Education program, hoping to become a teacher of k-6 with a specialization in reading. This is the second semester of my freshman year and so far everything is going really well. As soon as I enrolled I went to the SCCC website (concealedcampus.org) to sign up as a member only to find that there was no representative for SCCC on our (or any CCAC) campus - so I rose to the challenge, signed up as the "campus leader" and have begun a slow campaign to get the ball rolling in what little free time I have. I work in an office, and have the ability to print things which in any campaign of any kind is useful. I'm also fairly handy with a computer, and pretty accurate with a firearm. I have a lot of faith in the second amendment, and an intrinsic dislike of violations of the constitution. I'm not exactly an "activist" but I do get motivated, and I will do everything I can to ensure that our branch of the SCCC grows, gains publicity, and opens a path for future CCAC students who are similarly motivated to build on what we are starting here. It's absolutely great to meet all of you, sincere thanks for giving this a chance. - Christa

Hello, all. I'm Dan. I'm in the Navy, where I'm going to nuclear power school. Currently, I live in New York, where I'm in the second phase of my training. I got a sharpshooter rating with a 9mm Beretta (which is like getting a B on that particular test), although I have yet to gain proficiency with rifles. I don't own any weapons, at the moment, but I intend to once I find myself in a place where I can establish a residence (New York laws are...restrictive, if you're not a resident and wish to own firearms).
Nice meeting you all.

Hi, My name is Kim and live in Pa. I am probably a little old to be here but I have college age kids and like to stay informed with what is happening. I have a LTCF and have a very nice two-toned Walther P-22 that I carry everywhere I go. I participate in monthly group shoots and have access to an abandoned airport to practice. I wish this site and it's posters well and hope you will continue to stand up for your rights.

Thanks for your support! Wow, an abandoned airport sounds incredibly cool. Do your college age kids get to shoot there too? That sounds like a blast.... god, I wish that didn't sound like such a pun.

Hello, My name is Annie. I am a full time student at Chatham University but am cross registered at CCAC for one class. I have been an avid gun owner for about the past two years and consider myself pretty involved. I am a member over at PAFOA.org where my screen name is the same.
Oh ya, I'm also Christa's sister in law. Thanks Christa!

I'm Mike. I'm a graduate student at Chatham University finishing up my last semester in the Master of Arts in Teaching program. Like most of you, I'm an avid gun owner and shooter. I'm a member of SCCC and have participated in a previous empty holster protest. I'm also a member of PAFOA (BigMikeM31). I took a class through CCAC last semester. Fortunately, it was an online class, so I wasn't impacted a great deal by their policies. It's nice to meet all of you.

My sons are P-11 Shooter (Matt) & Joe Smith (Brian) on the PAFOA website.
They also shoot at the airport and are in the process of making steel targets to use there. There is a rewarding sound when you hit steel. Let's you know right away if you hit your target.

Oh yeah, It's mom! Hi mom! We've met, at one of the group shoots.
I hope some more people post introductions, I can tell by the visitors to the site that there are a couple lurking out there. I need 10 people willing to give me their information before I can plead our case in front of student government and the dean of student life to be made an official club! The only requirement is that you be taking at least 1 credit credited CCAC course.
Thanks Everyone!

Welcome Brett! Every new post puts a smile on my face ;D Is there a campus leader for the Art Institute? If not you can sign up to be the campus leader at concealedcampus.org If you are taking any credited courses at CCAC please let me know (I know it's cheaper to take some classes at CCAC if the credits transfer so it's worth asking) I still need CCAC students (even a single credited class at CCAC counts) who are willing to share their info with me so that I can attempt to make our chapter an official student organization. Apparently people have tried in the past, and the Dean of Student life will not sign off on it which brings it before the Student Body Government who, I was told by a very nice though clearly anti-gun woman ("This is that GUN thing, isn't it?") in the office of student life, have invariably denied the club's status. Even if you know someone who is taking a course at CCAC please get them in touch with me. We can do this, we outnumber those against us - we just conceal it well. - Christa - Christa CommunitySCCC@gmail.com

Hello, My name is Michael I am from the Northside of Pittsburgh I am for carrying a concealed weapon on campus. I also believe that the security should be armed as well. On too many occasion throughout the country, unarmed schools have been attacked by lone gunman, and the students had no defense. Everyone on campus should have the right to defend themself from harm. I have a been in the military and am proficient in several, weapons systems.
